Q. How many sessions will I need?

A. The answer depends upon the issues raised and individual needs, but a positive change would be expected with-in 6-8 sessions.



Q. What counselling approaches do you use?

A. I use a combination of approaches including CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) Gestalt Therapy, Person Centred and Psychodynamic. I tailor the therapy to meet the individual needs of the client. If requested I can use purely one approach.



Q. How long is a session and what is the cost?

A. A session lasts for 50 minutes at a cost of £45.00 per session



Q. Do you work with children?

A. I work with children from the age of 7 years.



Q. How long will I have to wait for an appointment?

A. Because I have more than one practice, with evening and weekend appointments available, you can expect to receive an appointment with-in a maximum of two weeks.



Q. What is Psychotherapy?

A. Psychotherapy is the name for a process used to help change automatic thought pattens of behaviour, enabling the client to look and process their behaviour in a more realistic and possitive way.
